Terms & Conditions – BJ Jones Group Removals

1. Quotes & Booking

  • All quotes are based on the information, photos, and details provided by the customer.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • A booking is only confirmed once the required deposit has been paid.

2. Deposit

  • A $1000 deposit is required to secure your booking date.
  • This deposit will be deducted from the final balance.
  • Deposits must be paid within the timeframe specified or your booking may be released.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the move date will receive a full refund of the deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the move may result in partial or full loss of the deposit.
  • Short notice cancellations may incur additional charges to cover scheduling and staffing costs.

4. Final Pricing & Variations

  • Quotes are based on the items shown in photos and information provided.
  • The final price may change if:
    • Additional items or boxes are added
    • Access conditions differ from what was described
    • The scope of work changes
  • Any additional work will be charged at the applicable hourly or agreed rate.

5. Payment Terms

  • The remaining balance is due on completion of the move.
  • We reserve the right to charge interest or fees on overdue accounts.

6. Access & Site Conditions

  • Customers must provide accurate details about property access, stairs, lifts, terrain, and parking.
  • Additional charges may apply where access is difficult or restricted.
  • Delays caused by access issues may result in additional labour charges.

7. Timing & Delays

  • Arrival times are estimates only and may vary due to traffic, weather, or prior jobs.
  • BJ Jones Group Removals will not be liable for delays outside of our control.

8. Customer Responsibilities

  • All items must be packed securely unless packing services have been arranged.
  • The customer must ensure clear access to both properties.
  • Pets and children must be safely managed.
  • Fragile or high-value items must be clearly identified.

9. Damage & Liability

  • While being fully insured, BJ Jones Group Removals does not offer insurance for loss or damages to the customer’s furniture, items, or belongings.
  • Most home and contents insurance policies cover damages caused while moving, or this cover can normally be added to your current policy. Contacting your home and contents insurance provider is recommended.
  • We take the utmost care when handling our clients’ furniture, items, and belongings, but accidents can happen.
  • Our services are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage, items not packed appropriately, or items packed by the customer.

10. Prohibited Items

  • We will not transport hazardous, dangerous, or illegal goods.
  • This includes flammable, explosive, or perishable items.

11. Storage (if applicable)

  • If delivery cannot be completed due to customer-related issues, storage and re-delivery fees may apply.

12. Acceptance of Terms

  • By accepting a quote or making a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
